Terms of Service
Effective October 4, 2026
These terms govern your use of laneplans.com and the Laneplan app (the “Service”), provided by Laneplan (“we”, “us”). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to them. If you use the Service for an organization, you agree on its behalf.
1. The Service
Laneplan is a hosted tool for building and sharing swimlane project schedules, with dependencies, critical path, revisions and a change log. We may improve or change features over time.
2. Accounts and workspaces
You must give accurate information and keep your sign-in secure. You are responsible for activity under your account. The owner of a workspace controls who can access it and what role each member has. You must be at least 16 to use the Service.
3. Plans and billing
- The Free plan is free, with the limits shown on our pricing page.
- Paid plans are billed per editor seat, monthly or yearly, in advance, through Stripe. Viewers are free.
- Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time in Team & billing → Manage billing; access continues until the end of the paid period.
- Seat changes are prorated by Stripe. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law or where we choose to issue a refund.
- Prices may change; we will give at least 30 days’ notice before a price increase affects your renewal.
- Fees exclude taxes, which may be added where required.
When a paid subscription ends, the workspace returns to the Free plan. Nothing is deleted, but you cannot add beyond the Free limits.
4. Your content
You own the schedules and other content you put in the Service. You give us permission to store, process and display that content only as needed to provide the Service to you and your workspace. You can export your schedules at any time. You are responsible for having the right to upload your content and for not uploading information you are not allowed to share.
5. Acceptable use
You will not: break the law using the Service; upload malware; try to access other workspaces or bypass security or plan limits; overload, scrape or reverse-engineer the Service; or resell it without our written permission.
6. Suspension and termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your workspace at any time. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms or put the Service or other users at risk, and will try to give notice where reasonable.
7. Availability and support
We work to keep the Service available and your data safe, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Keep your own exports of important schedules.
8. Disclaimer
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, including fitness for a particular purpose. Schedules are planning tools; you remain responsible for decisions you make with them.
9. Limitation of liability
To the extent allowed by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or lost profits or data, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will update the date above and notify account owners of significant changes. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept it.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
